This is a one-of-a-kind necklace. It started life as a chalcedony being drilled to become another Southern Ring Nebula necklace. Due to a wandering mind, the drilling went from a small pilot hole into an uncontrolled, unnecessarily large black hole.
Like a quasar, this necklace has an extremely luminous opal, a design powered by a supermassive black hole, and is nestled in a cloud of blue chalcedony.
- 5.96x5.76mm Australian crystal opal set in an 18K rose gold bezel
- a soft blue, semi-translucent 20 x 15 mm oval chalcedony stone
- set in a durable, polished stainless steel frame with an open back.
The pendant is detachable from the 18" stainless steel rounded box link chain.
The opal's sparkling color-play creates a captivating contrast against the chalcedony’s smooth, calming surface, like a luminous quasar surrounded by a blue cloud of gas.
